I am 17, and today I have been having a hard time peeing. I have taken in at least 15 glasses of water (and only water, I did not drink any thing else) but when I do feel the need to pee it comes out dark yellow, and it hurts as it flows.

I think I may be fighting a cold, which might have something to do with it, but I don't know. I CANNOT talk to my parents about it. They get mad at every thing, and all they do is yell. Do I need to talk to a doctor about this (my best friend’s dad is a doctor, and I could talk to him...)??

yeah, it sounds like you have a bladder infection. You should go to a doctor or talk to your friends dad. In the meantime, continue drinking a lot of water and maybe buy some cranberry juice (100% juice) and drink a cup or two of that a day.

You could absolutely talk to your friends dad. It could be a few things. Too much water is harmful for you. Also you could have an infection, or kidney stones, even little ones. Try cranberry, it helps fight against urinary/bladder infections. If you have a cold your immune system will be lowered. Also if it is an infection there are pills called azo standard, at any Walgreens etc.. over the counter meds could help. Good luck

I suggest you talk to your friend's dad. Not to be an alarmist, but something may be wrong with your kidneys. Or maybe you have a urinary tract infection or a bladder infection? (I'm not a doctor, nor do I play one on tv, so I'm definitely not an expert.)

I think the first thing to do is talk to your friend's dad, and then he can suggest what to do. I'm sorry your parents get mad at everything, but this is your health! Be nice and be calm and tell them whatever your friend's dad says. If they'd be mad that you talked to him, then obviously don't mention it. If your parents won't do anything to help you, then go to the nurse at school tomorrow. She or he will help you.

Good luck, and I hope you feel better!

This sounds like a urinary tract infection (UTI) which is extremely common and nothing to be embarasses about.

A UTI occurs when bacteria enter through the urerthra and to the bladder. Symptoms are frequent need to urinate, burning sensation while urinating, dark urine, and small amounts of urine flow.

Cranberries are awesome for treating UTIs. Drink some of this juice to help the infection.

it sounds like you could have a urinary tract infection...keep up with the water. cranberry juice is good for uti's. by all means, if you can't talk to your parents, talk to your best friend's dad. you probably need an antibiotic and/or lab tests to determine what type of bacteria you might have. best of luck.

IT sure sounds like you may have a bladder infection. IF you do, then it needs to be treated with antibiotics. Keep drinking water, but cranberry juice is one of natures ways of helping with bladder problems. Please do go see someone about this as soon as possible!!!!!!!!!!
