Eleven cats is already way too many. If she wants to save a cat in trouble, I understand she has a kind heart, but taking the cat in is doing a disservice to the 11 she already has. She needs to find another way to help. If she just wants one for the sake of owning yet another cat, she is CRAZY!!! I am a definite cat lover. We have three and they keep me busy and the bills for vet appointments, food, medicine can really add up.

Yes. She also must be rich. How can she afford the vet bills?

My dog alone this month cost me over $500 dollars for vacinations, food, heart worm med, general check up fees, neutering, toys etc. the list goes on!

She would do better like my friend with 5 cats does already... keep her 5 and foster extras. Then interview suitable cat caring parents! That way she can make a bigger difference to kitties :-)

Can she afford to take care of them all -- INCLUDING vet care? We have a lot of pets, but we also have enough money to pay vet bills. If she can't afford proper food and care then she's not doing anyone any good.

Also, does she have the TIME to take care of so many?

You are right to be concerned -- perhaps, if she really is a friend you can talk to her. Good luck.

Yes, she is a crazy cat lady.
I have 3 and I can't imagine having 11. Can she afford to take care of all of them? If she can't afford to take them all to the vet, she shouldn't have them.
