Not at all like un-rich people THINK they think.
Lower & middle-class folks tend to think rich people are materialistic, shallow, and/or greedy. But this is just ideological thinking driven by class envy. It's been my observation that "materialistic, shallow, and/or greedy" are spread about evenly across all classes of people.
Interestingly, I've noticed a similar perception--also based on a type of class envy--in how some foreigners think of Americans. Could it be because Americans are their "rich people"?
Regarding the thinking of rich vs. poor people, I recall reading some research a while back. (Sorry, don't have the source.) Rich people tend to think that the path to riches is through talent, hard work, a good work ethic, and other internal qualities, while poor people tend to think that rich people get rich because of good fortune, or who they know, or other external factors. Food for thought....
And no, I'm not rich.

Jake is right, if you're interested in getting rich you'll have to work on your presentation. First, you need to appear to be reasonably intelligent:
"How do rich people think?"
or
"How does a rich person think?"
Obviously, you didn't pay attention in school when they taught grammar. Hopefully you payed attention in math class.
I'm not being mean, I'm just being tough because that's what you're going to face out there in the real world trying to get rich legitimately.

It's really kind of sad. They have the money to do what we all dream of doing if we had the means and therefore have no dreams to follow. They are bored.
