Yes quite unpleasant.
Other car hit me head on. My car was totaled.
I ended up with my thumb and index figure dislocated. My hand broken, cracked sternum, and broken ribs. I was in so much pain for a long time.
The other driver only had a few bruises. Other driver was speeding toward me, upon collision kept their foot on the gas pedal pushing me backward and yes my car did skid, turning me around several times. Taken to hospital by ambulance, had trouble breathing, in much pain, etc. That is what it was like. It was not fun or something I would care to happen again.

Of all things, I was hit head-on by a guy riding a motorcycle with an empty side car on it. How often do you even see a motorcycle with a side-car? We were both coming around a curve on a 2-lane road when he suddenly lost control of the bike and crashed right into my windshield. He was lucky. He only suffered a couple broken bones and a broken nose. I swallowed glass but, otherwise, was fine. I was 4 months pregnant at the time.

Yes but it wasn't a straight head on. It was only about 20 miles per hour or so.
In a line of traffic a car entered my lane & I couldn't stop in time. I just bounced up from my seat some. The impact flattened my left front tire & I couldn't steer & hit another car.
And I have been hit in the middle, spun around 180 degrees & flipped on my side.
I hung on to the steering wheel firmly but my butt went out the window & my back was quite bruised. ( I wear my seat belt more religiously now.)
They both happened so fast that I barely had time to react.

I was in a head-on collision and it wasnt fun. I was on my way to work for midnights one night , and a guy who was concentrating on talking on a cell phone than driving, turned in front of me and caused 4 fractures on my spine. Im lucky im walking today.

Yes back in 97. We were hit head on by 2 Priests. I broke my back, sternum, ribs, leg, foot and hand. I was hospitalized for 8 months and almost died. I still live in chronic pain today because of my injuries. I wouldn't wish it on my worst enemy. I didn't drive for years after that and I was the passenger in the car the night of the wreck.
