YES! Get an instruction book at the bookstore. They sometimes come with pen, ink and paper combined. Enjoy.

There are several books and sets that will help you learn calligraphy.
If you go to your local arts and crafts store you can find a kit with an instruction book, a pen, ink and 3 or more interchangeable nibs (tips)
I was given a kit as a gift when I was a teenager- it had a very clear instruction book and 3 different sized nibs. It was really shaky at first but with persistence and practice you get hte hang of it and are able to do it well. I got to about a mediocre level, then moved around a lt, lost the pen and did not continue practicing but with just a book and a good pen and a desire to learn and the self motivation to practice you can do very well.
You might also want to check at your local library - I am sure there are videos out there that teach calligraphy- depending on the type of learner you are - this might be a little more helpful to you.

Yes Rupal, for sure, u can learn calligraphy at home. you can buy any good book from a book store alongwith a calligraphic pen set. The pen set will have a few flat nibs and definitely an instruction booklet alongwith. It'll also mention the angle to hold the pen at, and the direction where to move the pen. The book u buy should have lot of fints that u can practise.
Once u've mastered with the pen, u can experiment with many other things like reeds, brushes, etc etc.
You can add designs to ur fonts - it's all a matter of practise and patience.

It is possible to learn calligraphy at home on your own.
The very best book for beginners on calligraphy is
"The Art & Craft of Hand Lettering: Techniques, Projects, Inspiration"
(Paperback)
by Annie Cicale
ISBN-10: 1579908098
ISBN-13: 978-1579908096
amazon has it.
(I know its the best because I own or have read almost every book on calligraphy there is )
I would really recommend that you order a (free) catalog from Paper and Ink Arts, they have been selling calligraphy supplies for years and years. Their color catalog is very helpful for choosing books and materials.
http://www.paperinkarts.com/
There is a Yahoo group called Cyberscribes that you can join:
http://groups.yahoo.com/group/cyberscribes/
"CyberScribes!: The premier internet calligraphy discussion group. An International Community of Lettering Artists and Calligraphers discussing a wide range of calligraphy topics from tools to techniques and everything in between".
Last, there is a monster directory of all things calligraphic and paper related here:
http://www.cynscribe.com/
There's a list of calligraphy guilds around the world at this site, there might be one near you that you can join.

Craft shops like Michael's and Hobby Lobby carry instruction books and all the supplies you need. You'll need a pad of paper (lined is easier to start with), and a pen. Those stores have markers with calligraphy points which are much easier for beginners that the standard pens.
Hope you have fun.
