My area's getting sad. I don't want to say all I've seen so far has been two black racers smooshed on the side of the road, but I have to, that's all it's been. Breaks my heart, when I was a kid, I could have given a list as long as my arm probably......

Edited to add....

Birdgirl, I haven't seen a wild coachwhip in so long.... they're one of my favorites........

I got out to see the garter snake habernaculums this spring. I live in Northern Utah, and there's a few places where they will communally hibernate, and when the weather warms up, they all come out and mate in the characteristic mating ball. Great thing to see!
