It's been a few years since I went to prom, but I know they didn't serve food at mine. My friends and I decided to save our money and had a nice sit down meal with our dates at one of our houses. It was nice. We had good food, good company, and it didn't cost us anything.
I would suggest you speak to someone (teacher or another student) and ask if they know anything more specific for your prom. Good luck and have a great time.

Typically proms do not serve food. If you are over your budget, prepare a nice dinner at home for your date. Use real cloth napkins and nice table ware. That will be more impressive than any amount of money you'd spend at a restaurant.

They have good snacks there and drinks but nothing you can actually call dinner... They'll probably have fruit and cheese and crackers but no entree, which kinda sucks in your situation... But also do remember that all that depends on your school's budget... At my prom it was beautiful location but no food, just fruit and soda... So, I'd actually ask around school if I were you... You'll get a much clearer answer than anyone on this website can... Hope this helps!

Usually they don't. If you are from a small town, see if any of the local restaurants have special deals for prom couples. If the prom does serve food, it will probably be a catered affair which means that the food will be good.

I've never heard of a prom serving dinner. Usually it would say on the announcement. Why don't you cook your date a nice dinner at home? Even spaghetti and salad is fancy with candles and flowers to dress it up.

this sounds so low funds, yet attempt norms or dennys. they're used to having after promenade dinners there and you may in simple terms goof around. it is likewise (variety of) romantic. have exciting at your promenade!
