=> 2x² + 50x -2079 = 0
=> x = [-50 ±√(2500 + 16632)]/4

excluding the negative root,

x = [138.32-50] /4 = 22.08 "

tv = rectangle = 2 triangles combined can make a rectangle.....diagonal 52 inches so think hypotenuse of a triangle and pythagorean's theorem a²+ b² = c²


(25)² + (x+25)²=(52)² solve for x

(x+25)² = (52)² - (25)²
(x+25)² = 2079 ..........now take square root of both sides
x + 25 = 45.596
x = 20.596
