Here's a quick History:
Japan helped greatly in WWI. The Japanese seized Germany's territories in the Pacific.
However once the Treaty of Versailles was made, at least two countries were dissatisfied: Italy and Japan.
Japan was bombed by the USA then Japan attacked Pearl Harbor.
Every Japanese American was put into Internment Camps in the middle of know where, b/c of the paronoia that the Japanese might commit treason.
A couple of years later Hiroshima and Nagaski were a-bombed.
It sounds to me like the US governmeant was eager to try out a new toy.
Peace Treaties, Talks.......The USA just had to show Stalin that they were powerful as well and they were a force not to be reckoned with.
********PLEASE DO NOT REFER TO THE JAPANESE PEOPLE AS "JAPS". THANK YOU!

read a book.
the japanese were very valid and fearful foes in WWII - as you very well know.
taking the island of japan by invasion force would have erased all japanese culture from the face of the earth and millions of japanese would have died in the process - not to mention hundreds of thousands of americans.
but in the end, and above all else you must remember that america DIDN'T START THAT WAR.
japan and germany did.
don't whine about losing now...

You state "Japan was bombed by the USA then Japan attacked Pearl Harbor". This is 100% false. Hiroshima and Nagasaki were bombed to end the war. It's as simple as that. The tenacious Japanese resistance at Saipan, Iwo Jima and particularly Okinawa made a swift end to the war a most desired goal. There was no peace movement of any significance in Japan before the Emperor told the Japanese people they had to "endure the unendurable". And what did they get? An enlightened new government steeped in democracy and equality.
A couple of point you make are valid: the internment was shameful and a black mark on American history. And the bombings did, in fact, show Stalin what we had. Which was a very good thing.
The Japanese were a ruthless, cruel oppressor - in China, in the Philippines, in Korea, in Taiwan, in fact everywhere they occupied.
Even today, Japan refuses to acknowledge the venality of its military's attitude and actions to conquered peoples, so say nothing of its treatment of POWs.

1) We did not bomb Japan prior to Pearl Harbor.
2) The treaty of Versailles gave the Japanese no reason to be upset.
3) I have never heard anyone say they deserved it. It was the right action to end the war, that's a much different thing.
Next time try using facts. Facts are our friends.

while it is composed of conflict, what one "deserved" would not count. this is approximately scuffling with added attack and your human beings. conflict isn't approximately who merits what. the folk of Japan that have been going approximately their day in Hiroshima did no longer all unavoidably need to die, yet regrettably there became no selection interior the difficulty. the U. S. did what it had to do. such as you stated, the U. S. wasn't even in contact interior the conflict, however the eastern at that factor had a Nazi mentality. They clearly believed that they have been genetically more desirable to the different race in the worldwide and that this gave them the appropriate to attack all people and to rule the planet. it is why they attacked u . s . a . of america and for this reason they attacked China and raped (they raped women individuals and teenagers and in many circumstances additionally adult males) and killed hundreds of thousands of villiagers that did no longer do something to the eastern at that factor. (seem up the rape of Nanking). After pearl harbor the U. S. instructed Japan to offer up in the different case they could sense the brunt of a clean weapon. They theory the president became bluffing so as that they refused to offer up. it is while the 1st bomb went down. After the 1st bomb exploded, they have been as quickly as lower back asked to offer up. They nonetheless REFUSED... that basically shows you the conceitedness of the eastern at the instant in history. They theory they have been so genetically more desirable to all and sundry else that their delight became greater important than the lives of their civilians and infantrymen (Kamakazie missions). so because it is why the 2nd bomb went down and that's ultimately while the eastern government surrendered. u . s . a . of america dismanteled their military, replaced it with the yank military and to on the present time the eastern are actually not allowed to have their very own military. It has no longer something to do with no count if or no longer they deserved it... conflict is on an as want foundation- it is not approximately revenge. No quantity of revenge can ever get the lives of the lifeless lower back.

One big argument is that it saved US troops by ending the war sooner. But many argue the Japan would have lost anyways. So no need for A-bombs.
But Japanese were unbelievably tenacious, unwilling to give up. Basically fighting until deaths & total destruction. It is in that context the decision was made to drop 2 nuclear bombs.
Japanese didn't deserve it, but I think the blame partially falls onto Japanese commanders who continued to fight war they have lost and had no way to win. Japanese were losing bad and people knew it is just matter of time the US crushed Japan.
If Japanese surrendered the US wouldn't have dropped the nukes. Japanese commanders actually speculated whether the US actually had nuclear bombs. After the first one, they assumed that was only one. They got hit for the second time.
I would say nuclear bombs were not neccesarily needed, but Japanese didn't do much to help stop the suffering of innocent people. Japanese had chance to stop and surrender. They didn't. I wouldn't blame it all on US trying to scare other nations.
So, you can't really make the US to be some type of a bully when Japanese commanders were unwilling to look out for their innocent citizens and they were willing to sacrifice every Japanese citizens. Japanese commanders decided to continue even after the first nuclear bomb.
Japan would have dropped 10 nukes on the US if they had it. Japan sent bombs on high altitude balloons on jet stream to the US. These weird contraptions killed innocent children in residential area in west coast of the US.
Nobody deserves to be hit with nuclear bomb, but the US was not the 'bad guy' in this. This was war. Not to mention horrific things Japanese did in Korea. Where they basically tried wiping out Korean culture. They tried erasing Korean language, tradition, tortured people, used them in unethical, gruesome experiments. Look into what Japanese did in Korea. If you learn what they did in Korea you might change your mind.

I disagree with you on several fronts.
"Japan helped greatly in WWI. The Japanese seized Germany's territories in the Pacific."
I'm not certain how much this falls under the category of "greatly" but okay.
"However once the Treaty of Versailles was made, at least two countries were dissatisfied: Italy and Japan."
Yes, both played relatively minor roles and wanted more than they got out of it. By the way I'm fairly certain German and its allies were "dissatisfied" as well.
"Japan was bombed by the USA then Japan attacked Pearl Harbor."
Pardon me? Please cite the occurance. The Japanese attack on Pearl Harbor was a sneak attack on american soil. It was NOT predicated by american forces attacking (bombing) japanese forces or resources.
"Every Japanese American was put into Internment Camps in the middle of know where, b/c of the paronoia that the Japanese might commit treason."
Not true. I point to one strong example of Japanese Units within the Military of the United States, serving with distinction and honor during World War II. Yes, internment was wrong but your statement falls flat.
"A couple of years later Hiroshima and Nagaski were a-bombed."
A couple of years later than what? Also one was an atomic bomb the other was a hydrogen bomb.
"It sounds to me like the US governmeant was eager to try out a new toy."
Please give your foundation for this statement. The decision to drop devestating atomic weapons on Japanese soil was not done out of a desire to try out a new toy. Indeed we already knew it worked as we already had successful atomic tests previously. So we had already tried it out. We used it and it ended the war in the Pacific almost instantly. War is nasty brutish and horrible. Your enemy is the target. They are to be killed and forced to submit. They deserve this because they are the enemy and are trying to do it to you. This is how war works.
"Peace Treaties, Talks.......The USA just had to show Stalin that they were powerful as well and they were a force not to be reckoned with."
It isn't that simple and Stalin already knew we were a force to be reckoned with without the atomic bomb.
Your "short history" is not only incorrect but you give not foundation in fact. You are of course welcome to your opinions but opinions are not history.
"PLEASE DO NOT REFER TO THE JAPANESE PEOPLE AS "JAPS". THANK YOU!"
And in return I ask that you do not refer to Caucasians as, white devils, crackers, rude, Gaijin, barbarians, yanks, unsophisticated, uncultured and/or ignorant.
And I never referred to those of Japanese heritage as Japs either yet you asked me not to before I ever answered.
As for taking blame. Yes, the United States of America used the only nuclear weapons on a foreign country. We did that. It was terrible. I don't think you will find anyone who says otherwise.
Since you obviously are reading this and answering posts, I again inquire of you this. When did the United States Bomb Japan First? I've searched and searched and found nothing. Please give the instance you are speaking of. Historically accurate and the source please. I'd love to see it.

I've never heard anybody say that Japan "deserved" those bombs, but it did bring WW2 to an end...once it was over, we spent years rebuilding Japan. They're now one of our better allys, which says alot about both the US AND Japan. Last point...I don't need you to ask me top not refer to the Japanese people as "JAPS", thank you very much...
It sounds to me like you're trying to blame the US for starting WW2, when we all know that the Japanese bombing at Pearl Harbor brought us into the war. Are you one of those people that also think Bush was responsible for 911?

You fail to list a source for the USA bombing Japan prior to Pearl Harbor, the Japanese were visious during the war and murdered countless civilians, and powws, so they got what they had coming. It ended the war and saved an estimated 1 Million US lives.

I think its important to remember that back in those days, carpet bombing cities became common practice. Therefore, setting off a nuclear bomb would simply be the next logical step.
But since then, we have become more sophisticated today in attempting to keep civilians out of it and also realize the global dangers and implications of deploying nuclear weapons and have a better appreciation of them.
With that being said, Japan got what they deserved for starting a war with us that was not provoked. And I say better to die in the blink of an eye in a nuclear blast then go on one of their brutal death marches they put people through.

Japan bombed Pearl Harbor and then declared war on the US. You did not live during that time. If we had not bombed Japan when we did we would have lost thousands of more lives of our and other countries soldiers. It was them or us. My father fought in WW ll and says they had no value of life. He took grenades off their children. They believed dying was an honor for their country. You need to study the culture they had before it became more Americanized. The choice was right.
