What North Americans are you referring to? No personally I do not think that America is the most dangerous country in the world. We have demonstrated beyond reasonable doubt that we are trying to help stabilize the world and only when provoked have we become involved in a world situation - Clinton's foray into Bosnia and Serbia being the exception.

I think there are three very dangerous countries in the world right now: Venezuela, Iran and North Korea. These countries are led by dictators with visions of grandeur that are motivated by religious reasons and not for land or politics. That makes them very dangerous indeed.

I don't know if we are the most dangerous but we are extremely violent. The movie called bowling for columbine showed me that Canada has far more guns than we do in the USA, but they only have less than 5 murders a year in the whole country and we have 5 murders every hour. I've seen Canadian TV and from what I've seen between our 2 countries we show violence in almost every show and they don't. We promote violence, not only on TV but in almost every aspect of our culture and it has become a thread that is woven into our daily lives. I don't think a show like Jerry Springer would be such a big hit in other civilized countries, I think they would promote intellect over ignorant violent people for entertainment. So to answer your question.... now that I think about it we just might be at least one of the most dangerous countries because we promote stupidity instead of thought.

Yes the United States with Dr Strangelove (from the Movie) being the Sociopathic Liar George Walker Bush who is crazed with War and needs to be harnessed like the psycho that he is. Best thing for George Walker Bush is padded cell with him in it, a sock stuffed in his mouth and wearing a straight jacket permanently for the rest of his sorry assed life.

Frankly I don't care one bit what the rest of the world thinks of us. Arrogant? you betcha! With good reason. We are the freest, wealthiest, and most power full nation on earth. As far as I'm concerned the rest of the world can kiss our ...eagle!
The French can go to the head of the line.

Dangerous to what or whom? Dangerous to the countries we feed? How about dangerous to the Europeans who are enjoying the freedom to be critical of us after our men died on their soil freeing them from Nazi occupation? Are we more dangerous than countries that sell oil and demand free food? Are we more dangerous to countries that refuse to allow women's rights?

Or are you just being trite?

Yes, of course. But I'm not convinced dangerous is by definition bad -- it depends on how you use it. A cop with a gun is more dangerous than a thug with a knife, guess who I'd feel more comfortable with in a dark alley.

If by dangerous you mean the LAST country anyone should want to mess with? Yes.

If you mean the greatest threat to world peace? No, that honor falls to Iran, at the moment.

The only danger we pose is to brutal communist govts, tyrants like Hussien and Bin Ladin, and islamic regimes that sponsor terrorism.

There are many ways to define dangerous....dangerous to whom? Our enemies? One could argue that. Our allies? Not usually, but we are expensive allies to keep. Our citizens? Not even close.
