JSP page compilation?

hi all,
I am new to JSP and have written a sample JSP page. I am using Tomcat for testing these pages. Everything works fine when i tested it from my browser. But, we know that when a JSP page is compiled it is first translated into a servlet. Here lies the problem. How can we compile JSP page and where can i find the container generated servlet.

It would appear from the link below that this is an automatic process that occurs the first time the page is called or if the page is newer that the compiled servlet.
