I mean music which moved you beyond .. like the singing of the spheres, ethereal, haunting, poignant, oh, a thousand different ways I might try to express .. but perhaps for you one certain piece of music transcended all words.. swept you so far..

Careless wisper I really like the haughing sound of a saxaphone played really well.

Also fanando by ABBA played at my mum's funeral, I had never heard the sdong before then despite knowing ABBA quite well and it was never the same. I didn't dry at the funeral which was a few months ago now, however I forgot it was on my pc and while just messing around online it came on and I burst into tears.

I have so many but have you ever heard U2 singing Bad (live) it is awesome and moving. If you are talking about classical tune it would have to be Gustav Holst the planets, or maybe a really haunting tune would be Mike Oldfield tubular bells.

It's pretty moving, I'll give it that. But I've heard some pieces that would just blow your mind, I wonder if I can find them. I'm glad you've taken an interest in the classicals.. or if you've always had one :)
