I think he didn't even pack the right tool to hit the nail. It's hard to call right wingers wimps when they make up the vast majority of the military.

Take any media critic who worked in the media at the level he did at face value. He has an ax to grind and is simply using his books to get back at people in the industry who didn't see things his way (pay hikes, promotions, etc.). Any comment can be made to be viewed as biased in some way. And in the Internet age, who really cares what someone with plastic hair and reading off a Tele-prompt has to say anyway.
