As others have said, Nemo was a clown fish, which is a marine fish. The betta or fighting fish is a freshwater fish so the two could never live in the same tank.

Nemo is a clown fish- saltwater and a "japanese fighting fish" the Betta Splendens (better known as Siamese fighting fish) is a fresh water fish- they need completely different set ups and could not survive in the same tank...

I want to add that the betta does *not* fight with all other fish. It fights with other bettas. It can go in a community tank with other peaceful fish, but you have to watch out for fin nippers because they will harass the betta.

Nemo is a clownfish. Japanese fighting fish is a fish that fights other fishes. Anyway, if it even doesn't, a fighting fish is a "fresh water fish" so it will not get along with a clownfish which is from the salty ocean. you can just put your fighting fish in another tank.

Nemo is a Clown Fish. They would not get along because Clown Fish live in salt water and Japanese Fighting Fish live in fresh water.

Nemo is a marine fish known as a clownfish that frequently needs the company of a sea anemone.

Nope, it wouldn't go well with a japanese fighting fish.

Nemo is a clown fish which is salt water. A Japanese fighting fish is actually a betta which is a freshwater fish. They definitely can't be put in a tank together as one of them would be in the wrong type water and die rather quickly.

Nemo is a percula clown and a japanese fighting fish is a betta. Nemo lives in the ocean, bettas live in fresh water. So in other words if the betta does not kill the clownfish the fresh water will!!!!

It doesn't matter what fish gets along with what. It comes down to one preferring a planted, freshwater biotope, and the other preferring the marine reef 'salt water' setup. By prefer I mean both will die in the others environment. I Ioved the movie Finding Nemo, but it gave a lot of people bad ideas regarding fish. Some people acually think they'll find their home if you flush them down the toilet.
