the dna itself is not visible, but you might see a pellet, depending on how you get the dna, it is not the dna that you see, but other precipitates that are precipitated along with the dna

I did this for a Biology Lab once and we used different kinds of fruits and vegetables for extracting the DNA. Most of the DNA on the fruits extracted looked like a clear white strand that came in bundles that floated to the top of the test tube. Hope this helps!
