For a silent auction basket, my mom needs to think of a unique, creative title. It is full of sports stuff like Giants and As baseball tickets, beers, sports blanket, sports giftcard, stuff like that. The title has to sound desirable, so nothing cheesy, please. Thanks!

That's a fun project. Not to be an old poop, but will they acept it with alcohol in it?
Anyway, when we made different baskets for an auction, I was in charge of labelling. I used simple names like SPORTS and then relied on an eye-catching graphic to make the label interesting. The label included a complete list of the contents of the basket. That way there was no question as to what they were bidding on.

The key to a good gift basket is to make it complete. For example I have a friend who loves Mexican and was moving to Italy. Not a lot of good Mexican restaurants there. I put everything she would need to host a small dinner party in a large metal bin. It included: 2 bags of gourmet tortilla chips 2 jars of gourmet salsa 1 bag of beans 1 container of seasoning that I use to make chili and the recipe 1 container with my recipe for cornbread 2 containers containg the dry ingredients for churros (flour mixture & cinnamon sugar mixture) 1 gift certificate to a cheese store close to where she was moving with mapquest direction 1 gift certificate to a butcher with directions 1 bottle of tequila 1 bottle of marguerita mix 1 container or salt 8 plastic marguerita glasses 12 pack of Corona mixed in between all the other items 2 boxes of Christmas lights 2 packs each Mexican themed paper products 1 gift certificate for a website that would ship her a pinata A whole bunch of candy 1 pack of balloons 8 sombreros 1 CD with Mariachi music
