Ooooohh -- it's scary how many wrong answers there are on here!
Go with the 2 answers above (2^14 = 16384) Trust me, I'm a math professor. :-)
And (2/3) raised to the power 4 = 2^4/3^4 = 16/81. If you then raise THAT to the 4th power again, you have 16^4/81^4 = 65536/43046721.

okk
so its 8 to the power of 6 divided by 4 to the power of 2
sooo....
in computer/calculator words, it would be 8^6/4^2
basically, 8 to the power of 6 means 8*8*8*8*8*8
and 4 to the power of two means 4*4
so u multiply these out and u get 262144 divided by 16, which equals
16384
as for the second problem, u basically do (4/7) * (4/7) * (4/7)
which equals....
64/343
hope that helps!! good luck!!!!!

Try this. 8 = 2 to the third power, so 8 to the sixth = 2 to the third raised to the sixth or 2 to the 3x6, so 2 to the 18th
4=2 squared, so 4 squared = 2 squared squared, or 2 to the 2x2, or 2 to the 4th.
When you divide exponents, subtract the exponent in the denominator from the exponent in the numerator. In this case, you have 2 to the 18-4 = 2 to the 14th.

Simplify your fraction first: 8 divided 4 = 2
Simplify your exponents: 6-4 = 2
You're left with 2^2 = 4
I'm doing my best so consult your math book and teacher -- I'm fairly certain I'm remember that stuff correctly.

8^6=8x8x8x8x8x8=262144
4^2=4 x4= 16
262144/16=16384
4/7^3=4^3/7^3=64/343
4^3=4x4x4=64
7^3=7x7x7=343
(2/3^4)^4= 2^4/3^4=16/81
16/81^4= 16^4/81^4=65536/43046721

the term "power" means you multiply the number by itself so if you broke it down, it would look like this:
(8x8x8x8x8x8) / (4X4)=
and 4/7 x 4/7 x 4/7
i hope that helps
