They don't seem that bad to me.

It's not racist for a church to try to improve the community that supports it. Rich white churches like Rev Haggards blow all their money on big screen TVs, PA systems, and even esspresso bars. What's wrong with Trinity trying to unify the surrounding black community?

Hogwash citizen! He went to a nonreligious public school that happened to have Muslims in it. There were also Christian kids. No influence to speak of unless you think that diversity can have a negative influence on a kid.

It's not about hating his church, it's about the sorted lies of politics. you take some piece of crap guy who's been bleeding the naton dry with his 6+ digit annual paychecks, dress him in bibbed overalls, give him a farmer's baseball cap and send him down to be one with the little people. How pretentious. It's all a lie of convenience. Obama? Church? Yeah right. Next you're going to tell me he not only can quote scripture but that he lives and breates it everyday. Spare me the patronizing. And for the record, I don't wear bibbies or a hat...

Church has nothing to do with politics. Romney however is part of a movement, and would not be a substantial leader as his prophet would tell him what to do in Washington, D. C. - that is a valid reason to not elect a Mormon to just about any office. Obama is not a part of a movement, he is a Senator running for President on his terms, and his church does not tell him what to do - You will, and I will, as he will work for the people, and this is what we want, I thought. Let's keep church out of this as much as possible. We are treading on sensitive waters here, I know. But to close, we need to make it clear that we do not want a screaming idiot in office, so she will stop wasting other peoples money, to the weaklings that think she would even let Bill Clinton run the White House, of course she won't. And who needs Bill anyway. Not me, not you - he's like any other player, a loser by default.

Perhaps because it's racist in the extreme. If a predominantly white church held the same types of philosophies, it would be seen as on par with the Identity clowns and the Aryans.

I do not hate his church. The church he currently attends is a Christian Church. I do have reservations about him having a Muslim influence in the formative years of his life. The seeds of that Muslim faith were planted, will they sprout?
