I have 14 episodes of a show which are all separate avi files in one folder. I downloaded a file which has all the subtitles for the episodes and extracted it, now it is a single .rar file. I have no clue on how to watch the episodes with the subtitles. This movie is animation so it is in another language but it looks AWSOME! I have been trying to figure this out for ummm...4 hrs now and it is really frustrating!!! I downloaded something called VOBsub but have no clue how to use it and the tutorials i found on the net dont help eather. PLEASE HELP!!! Im also afraid that after i do get the subtitles to work with all of your help then they will be for one continuous show instead for single separate episodes:P But the website i got them from (subscene.com) makes it preatty clear before the download that they will be separate. Help in combining this rar file with the avi. thanks.

Tell us what's inside the RAR file using 7Zip (free) ExtractNow (free) or WinRAR (shareware).

It's probably 14 or more TXT files, but they could also have other extensions such as SRT, SSA, and so on.

Usually, rename each to same name as the AVI file (matching, of course), and just play. Most players will automatically pick up the matching name and load it, including VOBSUB. There's no need to actually merge it into the AVI file at all.

You won't need to use WinAVI or some blah blah like that. Remember the KISS principle. :)

if the rar files created one huge avi file
you could split the avi into episodes that
would match up with the sub files

use virtualdub to split the avi into episodes

then rename each episode to match the sub file

install vobsub

install winavi

now re-encode each episode using winavi
to hardcode the subs to the new file

simple

need help just ask
