First of all, that's an AWESOME show, so I wouldn't stop watching it if I were you. When you get scared, go somewhere where you always feel safe and wrap yourself up in a blanket. Read a book or listen to music--anything that will get your mind off of the supernatural stuff.

Allow yourself to watch another "horrifying" movie or documentary about ghosts and the supernatural.
When you start feeling the usual sensations that arise from taking this action, just be still, and simply observe them. Don't give any rise to them or label them as "good" or "bad". Stay in the middle, stay neutral. In the process of doing this, by observing the sensations you pull up, they will slowly lose their power and gently pass away.
If you were to look a little deeper than this, you'd soon realize that in every moment of now, your thoughts, your sensations your emotions and even your cells are always rising and passing away. After a certain amount of practice comes the awareness that you are in fact, translucent.
Hmmmm, much like a "ghost".

Everyone has their own opinions , as do I, I will give you my thoughts.....My hobbie is investigating the supernatural, and I do believe. I have learned how to develop a psychic shield, it is just an energy that remains active around me preventing psychic attack. I have been doing ghost hunting for about a year now, and must sa that I have seen some things, and felt uncompfortable, but have never been atacked, so You shouldn't have any worries. Also, as others have said, say a prayer, as that your house be cleansed of any negative energy, and anything that wishes to do anyone harm. I believe, for you, prayer is probably the best answer....Good Luck

put things in perspective, you control your mind. Realize what is real and what is fake and dont confuse the two. for example when you get scared while watching a movie, remind yourself its just a movie. if you are still scared remove yourself from the situation by thinking about other stuff.
also you must understand that your dreams are a reflection of what you saw that day or your thoughts, just watch something else or read a book. i always watch a movie after hard days or traumatic events. its gives me something else to think about.

Ghosts since fear. The more scared you are...the higher the chances that they are watching you right now. One time I woke up out of dead sleep and saw a pair of eyes staring at me intensely through an opening in the closet. You will never know when they will decide to come to you....it usually happens when your all alone.

I recommend you stop watching it. It obviously has a curse or something on it. Ghosts aren't real but demons are. I don't mean to scare you but it's true. Did you know that on every set that a scary movie is being filmed someone dies? Look it up. I would stop watching it and pray in the rooms that you felt that way in that's something you don't want in your home.

Very good question, and it has a potentially interesting answer because only you can find it.
..Do you feel secure in the world at large? Are you fearful or uncertain about things you do not know much about or are beyond your experiance? If you are one of the many people I know who...Don't feel comfortable walking home alone at night, won't or preferrs not to go too far from home..It's mostly Psycological / psycogenic and sometimes, psycosomatic. I would sugguest doing things that will boost your confidance in yourself and educate you about things you do not know much about. Knowledge is power, and no one who know's what is in the dark will have cause to be afraid of it.

If you must watch the show,
press the audio MUTE button at the frightening parts.
That will take 75% of the effect off.
But the best is NOT to watch the show.

There IS a ghost in your house.
AND I'M HIM!!!!
I'm going to possess your cat later. Ever heard a cat talk? It's probably the scariest thing you'll ever hear. But don't worry. Just go to sleep.
