im not against emo,goths,geeks,trekies,lol ne1 but is emo real or just a spinnoff of goth?

All EMO is is a bunch of people who want to be different but really there being the same as everybody else, going to the mall and buying clothes that make them look "Different" and then actually listening to word to songs and analyzing them and then comparing the lyrics to the song as whats going on there life. To me it sounds like a group of confused individuals, and by the way no body is really Emo, or goth or trekies everyone one is there own individual just trying to fit into a crowd.

Emo is real. Some believe it is just a less evil version of goth but I have/do know emo people. They act different than goths. Emo is also a great new genre of music.

its a sterotyping thing
emo mean emotional
and if you think about it
everyone is emo
everyone have bad and good times
and as for the dressing part
all of my friends that dress 'emo' are pretty hurt inside or suffering in some way
i think emo 'emo' people just like to express their pain and emotions through their clothing
i like to draw and that is a way of self expression
recently, i've been going through alot
and so started dressing black
because it makes me feel like i'm expressing myself another way
some people might be emo and still wear prep clothes simply because they like those clothes
judging people by their clothing is a pretty bad thing

dont worry, it's a spinoff,thanx for asking. you know, it's like they love the way goth look and stuff and they act normal. like everyday kids or adults.but they have a special chance of being special like doing crazy stuff, thats why i'm emo and everyone else who wants to be, can also be emo.

emo...stands for emotion... it is a "emotionally driven hardcore punk" and describes the emotional out let in the punk songs that normally would not be let out in punk music. emo is also what you would call teenagers who follow this kind of music
so no its not a "spinnoff" of goth its its own music its own thing

no, not at all, emo's are less scary there more of the comfort kind and goths r like "gah AWAYYYY!" and emo's wear tight pants while goths usualy dont....there style has a whole bunch of other diffrences too....

no emo is a spinoff from punk and started in the mid to late 80's with bands "Right to Spring" and "Fugazi".......that was original emo, aka Screamo......the co-called Emo of today is watered down pop music

emos and gothic people both wear black. but it's like goths have no emotions. i see emos smile sometimes but never goths. so they're almost the same.

EMO is just craving attention, just like a a cheerleader woudl do except color differences and one is happy and one is sad haha
