Yes. I love the way the late night and early morning smell, and love waking up to birdsong.

Definitely. But now that I live in a city, I often wake up at 3 in the morning and close it because someone is doing soemthing loud and obnoxious outside my window. Last week, my neighbors were unloading a truck at one in the morning. That's what it sounded like anyway. Trunk idling, things thumping around.
...a little shady, methinks.
I'm on the second floor. I suppose I wouldn't if I was on the first. But if someone wants to rape/kill me bad enough to scale the side of a house, they're gonna get me some other way, so I might as well enjoy the nice weather while I can.

Yes, I love sleeping with the windows open...I like the fresh air. I do get a little creeped out leaving them open though....always afraid an intruder will sneak in.

No way!! My windows have bars on them just like my doors. But I am not locked in since I have the keys. Burglars are locked out. I would never open a window to breathe this dusty air. That's just the cold hard truth here. I'm in the country but that's what makes us vulnerable. Sorry if that depressed you. Might as well have skipped it.

i sleep with the window open when its too hot in the room, and when its nice out.

Not any more! It's just not safe to do that! If I was on the 5th or 6th floor I would love to keep the windows open at night.

Yes, it's nice to hear the outside sounds of frogs,or crickets. The smell of a summer rain in the morning is a great thing to wake up to.

always do, it gets to hot in my home, and then I can't sleep. but with the window open I sleep like a baby.

Yes, and sometimes I even like to sleep on my swing out by the pond. I love nice weather.
