I recently donated blood, and the nurse said I had B negative negative. That's not a typo. She said something about a virus or something i havn't had, and I' ve searched the internet already. Anyone have any idea as to what would be different? I'm 18, btw, if that has anything to do with it.

Perhaps the nurse said you were CMV negative. CMV (cytomegalovirus) is a common virus that can be spread through bodily fluids. Many people have been exposed to the virus and are CMV positive even though they might not know it. The virus is not a serious infection except in people with a serious infection or women who are pregnant (it causes birth defects). It is also harmful for babies. For these reasons, blood is often tested for CMV.

ummmm hate to say it, but I suspect that nurse didn't know what she was talking about. If it worries you, ask your doctor, he might appreciate a good laugh.
