For those who watched the debate, I was wondering who you thought came off as the best choice and who did the worst job?

I just asked almost the same question, but I have a chance to
voice my opinion here-which I like.
I had to first remind myself that this was NOT about who is
the most TV savvy- or who can "work the camera", or who is
the most photogenic.
I had to get past all that and lisen to the words and how honestly they were given. I actually feel we have a great crop of Democrats running for office. My critique:
Hillary came off much better than I had guessed. But then I
remembered that she has had a lot of coaching. She did
seem honest and sincere. She can stay home and live on
her husband's retirement and travel the world if she wants.
I believe she feels she has what it takes to occupy the oval
office. I'm not so sure how many others feel the same way.

Obama: He's my man, and will be thru election day! But I
do believe he was a little overwhelmed at the intensity of
the experience. He has never had to share the stage with
so many heavyweights. He held his own, but he hesitated
too often. Hesitating on MSNBC gets you -0-. I'm sure
Chris Matthews didn't interview HIM.
Biden is a great speaker and is always in control. He is
somewhat headstrong and arrogant like Bush, but he will
give it a good run.
Edwards is too soft: He's too nice! He's too Southern Comfort. He's beautiful I'll admit, but a President, Not in my
book.
The rest were all good, but in my mind they were "politicians".
they were beltway mindset and not people mindset.
I do hope we have many more debates, as the American
people need to see and hear these men.
I myself have no TV, so I had to ask a friend if I could watch
with her. Just imagine how many 1000s could not even
watch the debates tonight.

Hillary Clinton won the debate. I thought she was brilliant, as usual. Great answer on what she'd do if we were attacked in two of our cities by terrorists. She struck right back at the Republicans who plague her and she did a really good job of it. She was forthright and direct and there wasn't a misstep that I could see.

Obama looked and sounded nervous and seemed unsure of himself in the beginning when he was answering questions about Iraq. But he recovered nicely and he did well, though he comes in second I think.

Edwards, geez I just don't know, I just can't put my finger on it. Something about him does not inspire confidence in me, though he seems to say all the right things. He seems a little too slick to me, even when he's trying deliberately to be genuine.

Richardson seemed overwrought and too impatient. I don't think those are qualities I want to see in a President.

Biden was pretty good, he's a good man, I like him. He'd make a great VP.

Dodd was all right, but forgettable.

Kucinich is a nutjob in my opinion. I hate to use a third grade phrase here but he gives me the creeps, seriously don't like that guy.

Gravel gave the night some badly needed lightness. I know he was serious and he was mad but didn't you just HAVE to smile? He's a trip.

hillary was smooth and steady, as was to be expected. I was a little dissapointed in Obama, he seemed a bit shaky on his answers and not confident. The biggest gain was Biden for sure, he came in as "one of those other guys" and left a very good impression on me, i will be watching him closely.(he reminds me of bob barker when he beat up adam sandler in that movie....) Gravel came off as a nutter, and the rest were unimpressive.

These are a bunch of fools. check out Ron Paul & his views. These bought & paid for bunch are only led by the corporate elite, not for the people. We need fair policies, we need a new congress that will listen to the people. check out Ron Paul & his views. We are doomed with the selection that is out there now. Most haven't woke up yet, THINK: don't you find it odd that the border agents are still in prison for doing their job? check out the SPP on youtube. The mainstream media is controlled by the corporations, sometimes you have to do hard research, not follow public opinion, & think for yourself. We have a responsibility to our children & grandchildren that our nation remain sovereign! And for everyone that does NOTHING, it makes it that much harder for those of us that do!

I can't stand Hillary, but she gave the best answers.....I really like Obama, but he struggled a little and seemed nervous...Biden did really well, as did Dodd. Kucinich and that other guy are nutjobs.

Neither its all just words. Blah blah blah. You see really it is just a trick anyway. All they have in their favour is troop pullout and playing on Americans feelings on the war. They don't actually want the troops to leave it is just that the only topic they have to get some real votes is that very thing.
