I purchased my 05 beetle new. I have had numerous minor problems like 3 cd players replaced, passenger seat frame replaced, side mirror casing replaced! I have also had problems with the cruise control and have heard clicking noises when I turn to the right. I am worried that after the warranty is up then what? Any suggestions on what to do or should I get rid of it ? Thanks

No, My wife had a 2001 for a year and never had any problems, she traded it in and bought an 2006 new off the dealer lot and it has been great as well. You might have got one with a few bugs..... all car manufacturers make a few cars with a couple problems.... sorry to hear you got one, you can either stick it out or just sell the car and get another one. I would tell the dealer i want another one, I think the lemon law states if you have to take the car back 3 times for repairs they have to replace it. Check it out.

the brake lamp switch has been an issue. the clicking on turns sounds like a half shaft failing. look into what the warranty covers and get the stuff taken care of. my sister has one. she loves it but the check engine light has come on a couple of times, the brake lamp switch went out, and the starter failed. the check engine light was turbo related, but i don't remember what it was exactly, i believe waste gate related.
