You stroke it gently up and down the side, twiddle its knobs affectionately, and say softly to it, "I love you, TV; I love you..."
If that doesn't get it turned on, then you just aren't right for each other. Don't let it bother you; just move on to the next one.

Usually the most effective way of turning on a television is pressing the small red button called POWER, which in turn beams an infrared signal to the television screen. If this doesn't work, educate yourself more on the basic neccessities of life by reading a book.. p.s...it's better for your eyes anyway. If yur still bored here is a question. Figure out the atmospheric pressure on Pluto just for the heck of it.
