use a flea bomb, if you have animals they also need to be treated as well as their bedding and yours.

Dip the pet and get it Front Line, Advantix, or a similar flea repellent. Then either board him or close him in a flea-free room while you treat the rest of the house. Usually the bathroom is good.
Wash your bedding and draperies. While you're doing that, sprinkle borax on your furniture and carpet, and let that sit about 20 minutes or so. Then vacuum. And keep vacuuming every day for at least 2 weeks: That will get newly-hatched fleas and flea eggs before they can lay more. You may want help treating your yard, if there are any fleas hiding there.
Good luck!

My son's house got infested with fleas and he bought several flea bombs and set them off. This didn't get rid of the fleas. He then treated the dog with Advantage from the vet and then we called an Exterminator to get the house sprayed. This got rid of most of them but, we had the house sprayed one more time because we were still seeing fleas. This did the trick! Believe me that the flea bombs are just a waste of money. Take the money you would spend on bombs and call the Exterminator!! Good luck :)

Borax, buy 1 box, put animals outside. Sprikle on rugs and under furniture. Leave on rugs a couple of hours. Vacume rugs good, Then shampoo rugs. If u put the borax just on the rugs and u dont put it under furniture the fleas will go under the couch and stuff. I have used this method for about 5 yrs now. I think it works good I have used bombs and the fleas come right back. Just make sure animals cant get to the borax. good luck.

Went through this last year thanks to sisters dog. You have to de-flea EVERYTHING. Take dog to groomer for flea dip.also buy frontline drops. you can bomb or at vets or Petsmart get flea spray BUT you have to spray under cushions and furniture as fleas do jump and lay eggs under furniture and cushions and can live up to 1 year so you want to do a thorough job. Wash all rugs etc. Where ever pet has been. Beds and rooms too or they will come back.

You need to flea bomb, vacuum alot and throw out the bags each time and treat the animals! It takes a lot of work to rid your house of fleas. I had that problem about 4 years ago when we let someone bring their dog into our house. Now only my animals are allowed in my house!
p.s. After a good flea bath use frontline plus on your cat/ or dog. Good Luck

I swear by Adams flea spray, available at PetSmart. Used in conjunction w/Advantage or Frontline drops, this will help you see a quick reduction. Spray the carpets, upholstered furniture, under the bed, draperies, etc. It doesn't need to be soaked, just a light spritz. Also, vacuum every day & empty the container after you vacuum to help reduce the number of eggs. Adams also makes a great product for the yard.

Flea bomb, then vaccuum and throw the bag away. Treat all pets - indoor and oudoor - with products from the vet. They have one that will immediately kill all fleas on the pet.
Been there, done that. Not fun.
