What really works for me, is going to the gym. The more I do it, consistently, it helps me feel positive and have a better outlook in life. Life gets quite hectic sometimes for me, with work, going to college full time, not enough time to study, sleep, but I make the most of it and I am grateful for the opportunities I have.

I just make the most of life, I surround myself with positive friends, and encourage friends who go through the same struggles I do. I try to not listen to negative people (especially those with chips on their shoulders, such a drag) and Most importantly have good thoughts and release positive energy to the universe, because whatever you think, say, will come back to you, so keep it positive.

Also I commute a lot, so when I'm on the road, and someone cuts me off, I try not to take it personal, they could cut someone else off, and most likely I will never see that person again, hopefully not.

A book that was recently recommended to me is "Ask & it is Given" by Abraham Hicks, it talks a lot about positive thinking. You might have heard of the "Laws of Attraction" from the same guy, it's good stuff, you might want to read through it at a bookstore, if you like what you read, get a copy.

Hope this works, it definately helped me!!!

We made a promise to America
We put on names on the dotted line
It doesn't matter where the conflicts are
We'll be there; any place, any time

We're fighting for all of you
Loyal to our Commander-In-Chief
With your support and devotion
We are strong beyond belief

We're the men and women
Who have answered our country's call
We'll take the fight to the enemy
Until terrorism takes a fall

We are Freedom's Vanguard
We insure the liberties that it brings
We're the people of the Air Force
Army, Navy and Marines Each soldier knows what is at stake
The risk is grave, there's no mistake knowing we'll be going home soon gets us through those dark cold nights spots.. you asked a good question.I cannot say all do-you seem to have a sense for things!

For me, the things that keep me going are my faith in God first and foremost, my daughter and her laughter and smile, and also the support of my friends. Family hasn't been as close as maybe they should be and neither have I, but my friends have gotten me through a LOT in the past few months especially. Those are the big things. Some of the little things that get me through include having cold beer and Diet Coke in the fridge, the occasional magazine, nail polish, or any other little thing under five bucks that I can buy, and since I'm a smoker(yes, bad, I know), that's a quick stress reliever.

Good music is a better quick fix.....

Can you tell I've been having more than just a rough month? :)

Oh how I'd love a good punch bag right now. Lol
Get one installed in your garage if you have one and give it a good beating till you feel better. Lol

Yesterday I was going a little nuts so I decided to cut the grass with my lawnmower!! It is a challenge because my back garden is very uneven and has a lot of bumps and holes in it. Thanks to the previous tenants(!) It did help me let out some rage... even when the lawnmower got stuck a few times in a grove. Hmph!

After that got in the shower! Then went to bed (forgot my dinner! Lol) and had a good nights sleep.

One time I had angry sex. Oh boy... don't really recommend it though, came out bruised. Lol.

Sometimes I buy things to make me feel happy, or sometimes I'd watch or buy movies because I love movies, or just commute to different places I like to see again or explore. Sometimes I'd go out with friends. But if I don't have any money... I'll just sleep the stress off or watch movies and eat comfort foods lol! I also go to the gym. It's a good stress terminator. I don't think that drugs and alcohol are good stress relievers because they only give temporary bliss but it will only destroy yourself more. I wouldn't risk myself doing those things just because I have problems. It isn't an excuse.

Knowing that things will get better (in time), that those who now put me down will be the ones who are DOWN in the end (and they will NOT succeed), and that I CAN and HAVE overcome all obstacles put in my way ...

PLUS -- knowing that MY Hard Work over this Lifetime has let me EARN the HOME that I own, the PENSIONs that I enjoy (including MY Military Retirement!) ... and that I am proud of all my accomplishments (including MY UGrad and Grad Degrees!).

No matter what -- things are just that -- THINGS .. What truly matters in life is that most precious commodity that you have right now -- LIFE .. so take some time to SIT DOWN, relax, enjoy the sounds of nature, and the simple stuff of life .. whether it is reading a book you always wanted to read, writing your own life story, taking images (with your camera) of that shy deer at the edge of your property or the birds in the nest, or anything else ... and just ENJOY the moment of peace and quiet.

Reading funny questions and answers here.....doing all the good stuff I do everyday....most of all my kids and my friends...looking back on all the bad stuff and realizing how rough it was and what a great job i did handling it. Ok I mighta drank a couple times or stayed out too late to deal with it...but it was only like 10% of the time.

Laughter and strenuous exercise. You can laugh here and then run or walk somewhere pretty. The dog park is a great place to start perusing the ladies that are glad to know the likes of you are available....If you were here I'd be looking for you.

Reading letters my mother kept that I wrote to my grandmother from the ages of 6-16 years old and our family moved from New York to California, and grandma still lived in New Jersey. I laugh so hard at how I expressed myself when I was a child and always tattled on my brothers and sisters. When I am really feeling down, I pull them out of my closet and read them. Always cheers me up. (not to mention a good glass of Hennessy helps too).

Take a nap now and again. Rest those adrenal glands. That done, start walking 30 minutes a day and breathe in deeping to lower your blood pressure. Be thankful and appreciate what blessings you already have.
