I just started a new tank about 3 or 4 months ago. I began with 3 mollies and 3 goldfish. Right now, my mollies have died out and 2 goldfish remain. The two goldfish were bullied by one of the mollies and one goldfish is unusually large in the stomach and the base of it's tail is rotting away, and the other goldfish is extemely thin and its mouth is deteriorating. I want to get rid of these fish, I cannot stand looking at their abnormalities.
What is the easiest/most ethical way to kill your fish?

Oh, and I've already tried putting salt in the tank, but I feel it's progressed too long to help it.

Ditto to Digby, they don't have abnormalities, they have a disease due to owner abuse and neglect. As bad as it sounds from what you describe you have allowed you fish to suffer probably past the point of being able to save them. Put the fish in a bag of water and into the freezer, they will die far less painfully then you allowed them to live. Then empty the tank and donate it to a school or nursing home. Try again when you are willing to take responsibility for a living creature and see to it's needs properly.
When you're ready, come back and we'll help you all we can.

Its fin and tail rot you can treat it with tetracycline. As for why the mollies died did you have aquarium salt in the tank from the start? mollies MUST have salt to be healthy you will loose the little buggers everytime if you do not have aquarium salt in the water

I would say it is fin rot and I always use merthiolate or mercurochrome. Net the fish and apply then put him back in the tank. One treatment usually does it but never get it on his gills as it will kill hem. Never use salt on a Betta. They do not tolerate it well.

your fish are sick with a bacterial infection, they are not abnormalities, your aquarium is infested with disease. did you cycle the tank before putting in fish? Gold fish should live on their own as they are heavy eaters and waste producers. Do a 30% water change, add 1 rounded teaspoon per 5 gallons with aquarium salt, remove carbon filter and add appropriate medication and follow steps, you shouldn't give up on your fish because you didn't give them a healthy environment to live in. Their "abnormalities" are your fault not theirs. Do some research on the web about fish care before you decided to take their lives into your hands.

I agree...don't kill them. First of all, the point is not their abnormalities, but that fish can get sick. This is a responsibility you agreed to handle when you purchased them. If it is that difficult for you, find out if a local fish store will adopt them and then I advise you to find a new hobby. (I hope PETA doesn't read your post) lol

Dont Kill them!!!!!!!!! There is a certain chemical you can buy to help them. If you cant take care of them give them to someone else rather than killing them.
