lol just kidding you don't have to here it is:
hearts: cups or water element covers emotions, feeling
daimond: swards or air element covers intellectual, mental

clubs: coins or earth element covers intuitive, spiritual
Ace: the self, singulartary of mind and purpose, beginnings

Three: Harmony, body-mind-spirit in symmetry, fate and
manifestation
Four: earth, the four corners of creation, stabilityand completion

Jack: The emotions, our higher self
Queen: Concessions, cleansing, abundance
King: the cycle of life, tenacity, luck
this is how the numbers break down aply the meaning of each number as it corresponds to the suite. for example:
the ace in the heart suite shows up you would read it like
that you would be starting a new relationship with either a friend, lover, or with your self. and it will bring a new beginning.
now of course you would get more in depth reading as you take into acount the card in relation to the other cards and their meanings.
here is some basic layouts for you as well
1. past issues
2. present circumstances
3. possible future
layout left from right
tendencies and perspectives
4
1 2
3
1. on one hand/ the aspects that are already known
2. on the other hand/the other side of the coin
3. what needs to be changed
4. the decision, the perspective
make sure you remember to shuffle the deck then split in three and choose which pile you will pick up first then the other pile and so on until they are one deck again then lay out the top card. if you are using a brand new deck (recomended) shuffle 13 times then place under your pillow for a week so they can pick up your personal energy before you do a reading for anyone.
well there you go hope it helps that should be enough to get you started
blessed be

There is a system of using a regular deck of playing cards for divination, but I'm not familiar with how it works. I have only had experience with tarots and oracle decks. You might google the idea and see what you come up with... sorry, I don't have any links to share, as I have not ever really been too interested in this form of divination because the tarots and oracle decks are just so much more intuitive for me, there are pictures to work with rather than just numbers and suit symbols.
I do know that the modern-day regular decks were a direct outcrop of tarots, the suits are designed after the Minor Arcana of the tarots. Therefore, you could conceivably get a beginner's book on tarot and study the meanings of the minor arcana cards, there is information on which suit in a tarot corresponds to which suit in a regular deck. For example, I believe spades would correspond with pentacles. I think... but don't take my word for it, do try to find some info on it if you can if you're interested. ;)

you May have it backward, as the deck of playing cards we are familiar with today actually came from the Tarot deck of the middle ages. The major Arcana cards were reduced to Ace, King, Queen, Jack. The Minor Arcana, numbered 1 to 100, were reduced to 56 in number to reduce play time and relieve stress on players hands and heads..Additionally, the Suits of the cards we use today were derived form the Major suits of the Tarot. Research Rider-Waite tarot website. I got my info. via classical education and personal research.

divination by playing cards is a fairly traditional Louisiana Hoodoo practice, and there have been a few books written about it, it is also about half of the system that I use, the other half being dice, but what do you expect from a Chaos Mage(sorry inside joke for practitioners).I used to have a few books, but I got rid of them, because the system by itself seems to be missing something, so I kind of designed my own, but if you look into Hoodoo (not to be confused with Voudoo, the are 2 different practices) you should find a few things
