I think people do allow themselves to get so immersed in the lives and activities of celebrities that they get compulsively obsessed.
Eventually, of course, they find out that although they know everything about the celeb, the harsh reality is the celeb doesn't know them from Jack Schitt, nor does he or she want to know.
As far as medication, I don't know what it would take, LOL, but there would be a market, all right..

I think when people say a celeb is a god...they don't actually mean it that way...they just mean that they admire the person.

I think they need to come back to reality. It's fine to really like a star or follow their career, etc, But some people think that what celebs do& say are reality and it's just not!

They need to wake up. Although celebrities are blessed with being in the right place and the right time, in regards to gaining fame, fortune, and recognition, their still human like the rest of us. I haven't seen a celebrity yet who didn't have some form of physical, mental and emotional disability. As the old saying goes, "you can't have everything". And a certain percentage of celebrities tend not to live long lives. (car or plane crash, terminal diseases, murder or suicide, accidents, etc)
