Let's start with the least expensive possibility.
1. Your belt could have slipped inside the tire, causing it to be unstable and shake.
2. Your wheel could be unbalanced, which means the weights may have fallen off. Easy fix. Take it to a tire shop, for about $8 - $10 you'll be on the road again.
3. Your rim could be bent. Get a new rim.
4. Your ball joints, or tie rods could be shot. Not so cheap, but necessary.
4. If you have front wheel drive, and you hear a clicking when you turn the corner in the direction of the shaky wheel, it is probably your CV joint. This will require a replacement of the CV shaft.
These are the possibilities. I may have left one out, but I don't think I did.
Start with #1 and go from there.
Oh, I did forget one, check to see if all your lug nuts are tight!
Good luck.

I'm surprised no one got it correct. You have a slipped belt in one of your front tires. Also, you could be missing a weight on on of the front tires. Usually a tire store can tell which it is.
Poor alignment and bad front suspension parts cannot cause shaking. Why does everyone think this?

It could be a number of things. Your lug nuts may be loose, which is probably unlikely, you may need to have your front end realigned. It's possible that your tie rods or tie rod ends have become loose. One other thing is that the camber could be knocked out of whack, so that one or even both wheels are angled in or out ever so slightly

Lug nuts loose. Tie rod ends are bad. Ball joints are bad. One or all of the above.
