Divide the 128 ounces, by 12 ounces.
You get 10 full glasses then there are 8 ounces left.

Well you would divide 128 by 12, the whole number is the number of glasses you can fill to the top, if there is a remainder then you add one to get the total number of glasses needed to hold all of the punch.
128 / 12 = 10 with a remainder of 8
so 10 glasses can be filled to top, but it takes 11 glasses to hold all of the punch.

If a glass holds 12 ounces then you would fill
128/12 glasses
Since 128/12 = 10.67 glasses
You would fill 10 glasses full
and you would need one more to hold the partial glass.
So altogether you would need 11 glasses to hold all the punch!

Divide the number of onces of punch by the number of ounces each glass holds an you have a. Then if there is a remainder add one to part a, otherwise both parts are the same.
What comes before part b?
