Age almost has nothing to do with it. I wouldnt say obese, but maybe over weight. It also depends on your frame. Do you have a small, medium or large frame? Also how much muscle do you have? Muscle weighs more than fat. You should get a true BMI ready (like when you measure everything...) from your doctors. If your worried about your weight, and I hate that so many young teens are, maybe you should stop drinking soda, and cut down on the junk food. you could also take a jog 3 times a week...
Dont compare yourself to the women on tv and in magazines. The magazines are airbrushed and the women on tv are not healthy!
This website will tell you how much you should weigh..according to your height and frame. Now remember it does not factor in muscle weight!

No! Do not beat yourself up or think that you are obese. At 14 your body is changing. You need to be a happy and healthy teenager. If you think you would like to shed a few pounds then great, but do not think you are obese. If this is really something that concerns you and you want to drop a few pounds there are many healthy and free ways you can do that. But again, no, you are not obese.

You're 14? I remember 14.... I had just given up my dolls (except, secretly I still slept with this olde doll my grandmother gave me, her name was, Mrs. Beasley) I loved that doll.... okay I will focus(smile). No you are not obese. However the AOA has developed a BMI index that determines if a person is underweight, overweight or obese. According to their index rate your weight is considered over what should be a healthy norm. It is very important that you understand this, this is generally the age of self perception and teenage peer pressure. The age young girls begin to diet to get that "model figure" Your weight sounds like you are in perportion of your height. These index are set up to help us not get into the danger zones. 156lbs. places you right at the borderline for being considered overweight. At 14 your body is still growing, you require total nutrition and shouldn't diet without checking with your family doctor. Today most family doctors have this BMI Index posted on the office walls, but you can ask for one if not. Don't start yourself down a tunnel that leads to fads and diets that create more problems for you life. I was anorexic from High school to college. Thinking about this same thing, it starts with trying to be thinner and suddenly, you can't seem to get thin enough. Please don't allow yourself to go down that tunnel. Your weight sounds perportionate to your height. The BMI index said your should weigh between 116 to 130 and that your are considered overweight, not obese, but to limit sweets and get more exercise like walking, bike riding, swimming, and simple calesthenic or get an exercise video that's fun for teens. decrease the intake of soda pop, or cola drinks, and replace with water. Did you know if we ate right and drank water, organic milk with vitamin D. We would put these diet pill people out of business.
But I love grandma's apple pies, and those luscious tollhouse cookies...... and the diet pill industry banks on it.(smile) In a modern technological world like the one we're in PSP, playstation, television (American Idol) although great,.....require no exercise what so ever, we have one button to press and it's connected to a remote control. (smile....we don't even get to simply walk to the tv) Be blessed, ma'mselle.

not obese, just a bit chubby hun. Dont worry, you will probably grow taller and the weight will even out. Just try to eat healthy and stay active. Dont get too obsessed about your weight though.

your body mass index is 26.8, that means you are overweight, but not yet obese, obesity starts with a body mass index of 30. Go to this website and check it for yourself.
