why do most people think it doesnt snow in mexico, I mean here in this part of mexico where i live called nuevo laredo near the U.S.A border and even in other places that are not far from here like monterrey and coahuila, chihuahua, Durango, baja california norte, mountain areas of sonora it snow there every winter, and there is even 3 skiing parks here in mexico one of them is bousques de monterreal in coahuila, one called las canadas in the federal district in mexico city, and one in toluca, the one that is in toluca has year round snow and the other two dont they have artficcial snow the rest of the year except for winter when they get real snow, it even snows in mexico city a few times a yearlike 1-2 inches, but mostly in the forest areas at higher elevations where they can see even feet of snow, and here where i live and places nearby like chihuahua we get on avarage about 20 CM (about 6-7 inches of snow a year) and i still dont get why people laugh when they think of snow here.?

Television. Too many people watch too much tv and tv only gives you one account of a place. It is not the same as going there.

Carlos, I am mexican and I live in Mexico city we really do not have snow. It can snow at the highest peaks of the mountains but not enough to practice skiing. Maybe at the border. Also the park you mention is a lie. Stop doing this your answer is quite a nonsense.

While some states don't get snow very often, ALL the states are capable of getting snow. Hard to believe? Well, just this past winter the mountainous regions of Hawaii had BLIZZARD warnings. EVERY state in the nation is capable of getting snow.

It's because Mexico doesn't advertise ski resorts.

The same in Hawaii. It snows in the mountain peaks and gets very cold up there.

I think it's due to the sunny beach party image Mexico has in the US. Americans usually go to Mexico for the partying and the beaches, so that's all they see. Yeah, Mexico is a big country and has different climates just like the US.

Most people think Mexico is all desert---which is idiotic. It's as varied as the US and Canada are in its topography.

I hear Mexico City is nice and cool most of the year, and the outlying areas are really nice.
