can you give me a topic for a persuasive essay please?

U can write about something u like. For example, do u like dogs? tell why dogs are special or something like that.

Persuasive means you are arguing your opinion. If you think that dogs are a great pet for kids, then you need to get support from the research Parent and family magazines, and quote your research the right way. not word for word either. And don't forget the page number references. There's also Magazines about early childhood w/ articles about growing up with pets, Psychology of childhood about the benefits of growing up with dogs and the responsibilities it gives a child. Etcetera.

Then you have to mention the other way people feel. "Some people say I'm wrong" growing up is hard enough without worrying about a dog! whether the dog was fed or walked or not and how the responsibility goes to the parent anyhow so it teaches the kid that things will get done even if you forget" and I see their point as listed in the drawbacks column of the article........... in ........magazine, however,(now bring it back to your main opinion in the closing) I think growing up with a dog is a great idea for children."

You need to take a side on the controversy and use facts to prove your point of view and persuade others to your way of thinking.

Some good topics are, but not limited to:

abortion
teenage pregnancy
the Iraqi War
gay marriage
should schools scan students before entering buildings?
should hs students be allowed out of the building for lunch?
