just to remark on the lists somewhat...Bismark State college in ND would not have an equine application...it incredibly is ultimate widely used as a good nursing college. Call a horse dentist and ask him where he went to school. He might know where there's a place in Penn or be able to direct you to someone who does know.
I don't think you have to be a vet before becoming a equine dentist.

I am also looking into veterinary universities, and there are few in the country, let alone individual states.
I would suggest looking beyond your immediate surroundings. Especially for something as specialized as equine dentistry, you may have to move farther than home than you initially planned, but it will be worth it to have a great education!

As I understand it, in the US you must become a vet first, then do an apprenticeship with an equine dentist. There must be a vet school you can attend in PA.
