Chuck, I hope Yahoo deletes your answer. Pain in the a.ss. I didn't need all that information. I just asked if anyone has been a victim of racism. If you are racist, that's your own damn problem, it doesn't affect me. Dumb a.ss! :)

As Black People, we suffer Racism from the time that we are born. Every time we go to Church and Pray to the White Jesus, that is racism.

When we go through the educational system and learn about all of the great White Accomplishments while learning that we were slaves, that is racism. We learn about Marco Polo and his world wide travels: We learn about Columbus: We learn about the Founding Forefathers: We learn about all of this under the guise of "Western Civilization" but what do we learn about ourselves? Are we not American? Is not Our History a part of American History? If so, why must we wait until February to learn about Our story.

Racism is not simply calling me the "N" word unless there is some type of Conscience to do harm and alienate at the same time.

To the guy under me, don't you have anything new to say??? you are getting boring.

Semper Fi 83. I know you wished you had a 50 cal. or M203 at your side that day! Dude, I feel you! The first and only time I was called the "N" word was when I was like in grade school. I think I was like maybe 8 or 9? I was walking home and some kid across the street yelled, "You N****"! Since that day, I've never been called that word again! That word, ticks me off to no end! I'm with you! I'm not trying to end up in jail for whoopin' someone's acetabulum! ( ^ _ ^ )

My school took our4th grade class to see some Disney on ice thing. We were about to leave and these two white boys started calling us ni66ers. We would have beat their asses but there was glass between us. Which just proves what cowards racist people are.

lasonya …that was so funny what you did. You shut her up without lifting a finger.

yes.. I am full blooded puertorican, but I look anglo white- my family is of spaniard decent in puerto rico but many poeple don't realize that there is a lot of diversity there. well here is the sitaution, my sis and I had a friend who decided one day she didn't want to be friends with us, she and her friend text messaged us that we were " porch monkeys, and we needed to be slaves again, and to go back to the ghetto and just a bunch of nasty things" thing is I am as pale as a ghost, with green eyes and blonde hair we are both...it was the strangest behavior. anyways some times I get slack from white poeple and hispanics, but it is just ignorance. it doesn't bother me though. It isn't a problem now that I am an adult but in HS white girls liked me until they new I was hispanic and hispanics didn't like me til they new I was hispanic..it is so dumb!

Every time I visit a boutique at one of Las Vegas' malls the attendants insist in following me around. In my home town, the department stores in the Galleria usually wait on the gringas first and only. Fortunately, the department store managers end up assisting me. You see, I do not take any of that mess. You do not want to help me, fine, maybe you like working at the fast food place serving beans and dogs. I assure you the corporate offices of the finer department stores do listen. When money talks, gringos walk.

why are people giving other people thumbs down as they share their story..these people are ignorant and simply dumb. If someone is sharing a story that personal, i dont see why you even have to judge them with a thumbs up or down, its irrelevant when it comes to a question like this.

On that note. I am biracial...i find it harder to associate myself with being white and being black..since i would consider myself light skin. People don't exactly call me names and such..thats a good thing. I feel most of us are called names because we attract those things to ourselves, if you carry yourself with self respect, i feel people will see that, and repsect you, no matter what race you are,

No, but I have seen plenty of racism. My people began to "pass" shortly after the Civil War.

Yes, I have been followed around stores. I have been told that I shouldn't be there because I probably couldn't afford anything from there. I have been asked to empty my F pockets at a store. I have been followed because I do not have blonde hair and blue eyes, they thought I was a Native American, and in that particular area, that's not the "popular" group. I have been pulled over and asked who's car I'm driving. I have been asked if I like chicken, watermelon, fruit punch, drums. I have been told to go back to Africa. I have been called some vile names that I would get censored for most definitely if I repeated them, including but not limited to the N word. I have been followed while driving. I have been tackled and "whitewashed". I have been followed while walking and cornered. I have been refused service. I have been told that I was in the wrong section. I have been attacked for my beliefs, I have been sent awful emails and letters. I have had notes left on my car, I have had my tires slashed. I hope that's enough for your answer, because it has been for me. I hope that you don't have people doing anything to you. Be strong, my sister.

Unfortunately, yes. i was stationed at Camp Lejeune in the 80's. I went downtown to Jacksonville, on Court Street in fact, on Martin Luther King's Birthday. A pickup with two white men rode up and one of them called a N.....! When I turned to see who it was, he threw a beer on me. I must've chased that truck for two or three blocks screaming death threats before the police stopped ME! Make a long story short, I'd probably still be in prison had I caught that guy.
