I smoke but have no problem with banned smoking. I understand that non smokers do not want to inhale my smoke, it makes your clothes stink and is bad for everyone around it. My granddaughter can not be around cigarette smoke so I like the no smoking establishments because I don't have to hide in a corner with her.

I don't think bands should smoke in public. The law should apply to all of us equally.

As for your serious question, the scientific evidence grows stronger each day. The health risks to the smokers themselves is only part of the problem. Second-hand smoke puts everyone else's health at risk, too. Bans on public smoking are necessary to protect those people who choose not to smoke.

I think it should be banned, why should I have to subject myself and my children to someone else's bad habit. It not only is bad for the smoker but it is also bad for everyone who is around it. We don't go bowling anymore because the smoking is so bad, it is supposed to be a place for families but you can't bring your family in that environment. If you smoke that is your choice and freedom to, but I think you should only be allowed to subject yourself to it.

Dana Reeves got lung cancer from secondhand smoke because she sang in resturants and bars that allowed smoking. Maybe if the smokers were made to smoke in an outside secluded area less people would have to be exposed. I just think someone's bad habit should not have to effect the health and environment of others who choose not to do so.

I think everyone should be allowed to smoke wherever they want.

I also think I should be allowed to crap on smokers' carpets. After all, there is an unpleasant smell (just like smoking), the carpet will be stained (just like smoking) and there will be long term deleterious health effects (just like smoking). But I will feel much better, which is all that really matters.

I am a nonsmoker and I personally like the law and think it should have been put into effect years ago. I don't care is smokers smoke, but don't do it around people who don't smoke. I am severely allergic to smoke, so just being around it makes me ill. I don't care if you want to smoke, just don't subject me to your smoking!

In America the economy should decide, not the majority that wants to remove the rights of the minority. If there is a demand for non-smoking bars there would be many.

I think keep it banned. You can smoke in your house or whatever fine but me being a non smoker I don't like going to a store and going past people smoking. It makes me feel sick.

It's great. Then we should work on banning body odor, because it's unpleasant and obviously people shouldn't be allowed to control their own hygeine. Then we can institute mandatory public dress codes, to save us all from the eyesore of the color blind- we'll have the fashion police for real!
