Microsoft Word is a program, in and of itself. If you are looking for it on your computer as an installed program which came as part of free pre-loaded software, you will not find it.
MS Word is offered by MS in various "Office" packages.

The free word processor which came on your system is included in MS Works.

Its not "under" any program! If you have bought and installed Microsoft Word for Microsoft Windows, then you can start it from your "Start" menu.

If you have bought Microsoft Word for Mac OS X, then it is in Applications.

If you're sure it's installed and you can't see it, try Start>(All) Programs>Microsoft Office. It should be there. If it's not there, search your hard drive for WinWord.exe. If you can't locate it, you likely don't have Microsoft Word installed.
