Socket AM2 and Socket 940

im not sure but im just seeing the same board sometimes with a different socket .. so??

this is SOCKET AM2? correct

but if you go to the main site.

and click on CPU support it says socket 940..?

Well this is a mistake made by the Biostar website. Both socket AM2 and socket 940 use 940 pins, but they have different names for a reason. The motherboard in question is socket AM2, and it is incorrectly named on the Biostar website. You can tell by the list of processors that the site lists as compatible with it, those processors are compatible with socket AM2, not 940.
