My friend applied for food stamps, she had a phone interview, then took all the documents needed to the office. She then recieved a letter in the mail asking her to go to the office to take a picture and give a fingerprint. Does that mean she is approved or is it just part of the process?

At first this sounded very fishy to me, but I guess it is standard to have your finger scanned in Texas before being approved. Your friend should be asked to provide a photo ID, but I'm not sure about taking pictures of the applicant. Provided everything checks out with the ID and finger scan, she should be approved.

might be part of the process. I have never had to have my pic taken or fingerprints taken for food stamps.

I believe she has been approved or they wouldn't go through the trouble of taking a picture and fingering her.
