Don't put it on your face! Dove Energy Glow now actually makes a "Subtle Self-Tanner" lotion especially for faces. I haven't tried it yet, but the body moisturizer is great. I think Olay may also make a tan lotion just for faces.

DON'T PUT IT ON YOUR FACE! It's a BODY moisturizer/lotion! Never put anything that's meant for your body on your face. The skin on your face is much to sensitive. Buy a mild, non comedogenic (won't clog pores), fragrance free moisturizer for your face, like from Cetephil or Aveeno.

generally, it's never a good idea to use body lotion on your face. the pores on your face are a lot more likely to get clogged and are a lot more sensative.

that said, to address your real question, self tanners on your face are a general no-no. the skin itself is too easily damaged, and besides, it's much easier to fix the color inconsistancy using a tinted moisturizer or a darker foundation.
