Ok im the only kid in my class who is scared to go on roller coasters. I always love when i get off but i always feel sick going up to the line. The hill is the worst part because i get so nervous going up it and then going down that feeling almost kills me. So far ive gone on Batman Judge Roy scream, and Shockwave (was scared to death all the way through.) If anyone has any advice on how to prevent the g-forces from effecting me as bad or if u have any advice on what i should ride that would be helpful. (sorry for having a confusing question)

About 85 percent of your reaction to roller coasters is purely psychological. You are afraid, even though you know the coasters are safe.

If the forces on the ride are a problem, don't ride wooden coasters. Learn to trust the engineering that went into the steel coasters you are riding, and yell a lot.

Confronting our fears is a big part of riding roller coasters. They are truly fun once you learn to do that. Don't worry about being hurt or killed. It won't happen.

I'm 66. I love roller coasters but when I started riding I had a fear of heights, which has since gone away. I kept my eyes closed a lot at first, but I enjoy every second now.

Don't worry. You are normal. You are also safer on the roller coaster than you are on the drive to the park.

like my fiance tells me; roller costers are the safest rides in any amusement park, because they are run so many times in one day, plus they are put through many safety checks. like another guy who posted, a lot of fear from roller coasters is all psychological, so the fear is just in your head. just don't psych yourself out of it and you'll have a great time. and if you want to pass, then pass. it doesn't make you a sissy or anything. just means you know your limits.

good luck!!

I'm over 40 and I NEVER got over the fear! I just say 'hey, not me...I'll pass'. or ' I don't do heights'. It's NOT worth the feeling of fear. My heart flips over just watching them on TV! Don't be pressured into it...hold your ground. If they call you a chicken just say 'at least I'm a safe chicken'.
