First off, I am pretty certain that Gore will not run for president again. "An Inconvenient Truth" may have given him renewed political capital, but to declare a run at the office would cheapen the message he presented and thus void his political resurrection.
Second, Newt Gingrich should not be allowed to be given a forum to take up anymore air in Washington than he already has. His admission of having an affair while he was huffing and puffing about Clinton's affairs reeks of political hypocrisy. I am not going to feign naivety about politicians, but why do we want to hear from someone whose conduct is already known to be contrary to the characteristic valued?
I think if these two theoretical candidates were to run, it would be an interesting race. I think ultimately Gore would have the better platform to run from than Gingrich. With that said, someone helps us all if these are the two candidates left to choose from.

Gore has more positive momentum at the moment, but, if that's the best the Reps & Dems could offer, a third party might finally win.

Why is it that people can not answer a question without making smart comments? We all know that if it was Gore, he would win, but because of the past it would be a mistake for him to do so.

Al won't run.
But if he did run, Gingrich would have about as much chance of winning as my left Newt.

They will never come up against each other.
It's all over for Gore.
Even the Rabid Democrats can't hide him being a Liar & a Hypocrite.
His Mansions, Private Jets, & Limos all gave him away.
It's no more: "All Hail the ManBearPig".
(Newt would tromp the phony.)
And Hillary might make another Vince Foster out of him.
