You'll be fine, I'm sure. If you've had the symptoms for months and they haven't developed, the likelihood is that you'll just have some other kind of infection. Still, best to get it checked out, I'm hardly an MD.

Your primary care physician will probably order a PPD test ( Purified Protein Derivative ) Your doctor or either the nurse will insert a small gauged needle with probably .5cc of PPD underneath your skin on the inside of your forearm interdermally. If done correctly you'll see a small wheal which looks like a small mosquitoe bite. You'll need to follow up within 48 to 72 hours with your doctor or nurse for the results. During this waiting time, do not rub or irritate the injection site! Leave it alone! Some people experience redness and a lump. Positive results (or the lump) is measure in millimeters of induration. For example, 5mm ID or 30mm ID. Your physician will probably order an chest xray to ensure that you don't have "TB" in your lungs. If everything is negative there's no need for medication period! They might suggest that you schedule periodic TB tests. If you're TB test is positive, (it really depends on the millimeters of induration and other criteia) They'll probably prescribe what's called "Isonicotinyl hydrazine" or INH as it's called, and vitamin B-6. INH is an antibiotic that's used to treat TB. Vitamin B-6 is used to maintain healthy liver functions because INH can actually cause damage to your liver if not monitored by your doctor via lab work. (They'll draw your blood to monitor your liver functions normally called a Hep-panel) If your xray is positive for TB, your doctor will probably use the same medications. TB is highly contagious and highly curable! We live in an age of modern medicine so there's no need for anyone living in the United States of America to die from TB! Having said that, I wish you the best of luck. Smooches. ( ^ _ ^ )

The symptoms of TB are fever, sweat, cough, and weight loss, that could be any number of illnesses. Don't worry. It's pretty hard to get it (the kind spread by air is actually very uncommon and you'd know if there was an outbreak). Go to the doctor, they'll poke you on your arm and send you home. You'll go back in a few days and if there's a raised bump in the spot where they stuck you, you don't have it. That's it. Even if the test is positive, it doesn't mean it's active. If it is, they'll start you on treatment.

Okay then. T.B. isn't as much of a death sentence as it used to be back in the old days. Now days, proper pre-cautions should be followed at all times. If you have it that is. First, wear a dust mask(disposable preferably) to cover your mouth and nose for when you are breathing and coughing. Wash your hands with anti-bacterial soap and warm water. TAKE ALL OF YOUR MEDICATION ON TIME EVERY DAY UNTIL GONE!!!!!! Yes, the coughing and what not can be painful, but not as painful as dieing from it!

I highly doubt that you have tuberculosis. If you did, you would have had very harsh complications, maybe even have died by now.
It is EXTREMELY unlikely that you have TB.
It may just be a touch of a cold/flu/allergies...
But, you should still see a doctor, as I am no MD.

Baby I will pray for you, but first you need to pray for yourself and believe in Gods power. My friend went to Brazil and came back with a positive tine test, she had to be on pills for 6 months and just couldn't be tested that way again she has to have a chest xray to be checked for TB. But she's OK.May God be with you

It's also possible for it to be many other things. Don't go crazy, just get a checkup.
