How about getting a 2nd job? Or seeing if you can work overtime where you do work. If you live in a state where they require bottle deposits, you could go around collecting cans/bottles and turn them in for the extra money.

It depends what you want it for.
To buy a house....borrow from a bank
To buy a car.....borrow from a bank
To go on holidays.....work some extra hours
To play poker.......dont
To drink more beer......dont
To spend on your girlfriend/wife......re - mortgage the house
To invest in stocks......Save about a $1000 and and be smart - invest it wisely, but be willing to lose it all because that might just happen.
