Itching there is usually caused by a fungus. Never use anti-bacterial soap on your groin area! By destroying all the good bacteria, you make it very easy for the fungus to thrive. Anti-bacterial soap should NEVER be used except for hands, if there.

And the second worst thing to do would be to shave. That will make the itch MUCH worse. Get some baby powder or Gold Bond. If that doesn't work, ask your pharmacist for something to get rid of jock itch - maybe Desitin - and it will be okay in a few days. To keep it from coming back, don't shave and don't use that nasty anti-bacterial (pro-fungus!) soap.

I guess you need to wait 2-3 days for the stop of the itchiness that the time I wait when I shave down there.

I would Shave all my pubic hair off just to be safe!

if it continues to itch after you shave, then you could be sensitive to the soap you're using, keep it dry and look for redness?

I hope this helps...

You can shave the hair off and if it itches use a non-scented lotion to prevent itching.

Try that Gold Bond powder stuff. It rocks and just feels good down there in general.

After you shower, sprinkle some talcum powder around your scrotum before you get dressed. My butler normally does this for me.
