I don't think seeing an 18-year-old RB straight out of high school getting punished by a 27-year-old seasoned pro LB would be pretty. He would be too immature and not experienced enough to handle the NFL.
Cheers!

they dont even do it in basketball n e more n basketball you have to be 1 year removed from highschool. In football you have to be 3 years removed from highschool. Tecnically it doesnt matter how old you are. Amobe Akoye is only 19 n he will be a top 10 pick but he did graduate already. football is not a contact sport like most people who dont play it think. dancing is a contact sport.football is a collision sport and they want to make sure those who enter the nfl are physically mature. Which is why the rule is in play

Contrary to most of the answers here, there is no requirement to play college football, just to be 3 years removed from high school, although if anyone even plans to go to the NFL, they should have at least a few substantial scholarship offers to Division I football...

against policy. Not only that, but with football being as physical, those guys NEED that extra time in College to adjust to a faster game. There are some that get their 3 years in, leave for the draft, then wish they'd stayed the extra time.
