Arent all children ashamed of their parents at times ? how and why are they?

the book sucked i hated it, and my point of view is sometimes they are but in the end they realize they arent, kinda like the afro-american main character was proud of his mother at the end for putting the whole family through college and off to a better life, but ashamed of her at times for being white and jewish, she didnt fit in with the same enviroment and culture he did.

Ebony, read the book. You can answer this question after you have read the book. If you read it already, pick it up and skim through the pages. Jot down some examples and work them into your essay.
